Kendall Jenner is a supermodel. One of those rare creatures that the biggest fashion houses in the world fight over for their campaign shoots and book without hesitation for every runway show from Couture through to Cruise. She's walked for Fendi, Versace, Tom Ford, Giambattista Valli and in her skivvies for Victoria's Secret.

And yet, for the last few fashion week seasons, the 26-year-old runway regular has been conspicuously absent from catwalk shows. She's made only a sprinkling of runway walks since 2017.

But behind her glamorous exterior, Jenner also struggles with panic attacks, anxiety and some depression too, and by her own admission, has come seriously close to a complete mental breakdown.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum has even admitted to having a panic attack as recently as two nights ago, as per an interview with i-D.

But it seems that, though her mental health struggles are still affecting her, something about the way she handles them has changed, as we've witnessed her recent return to the runway, walking in Prada's ready-to-wear show this week.

As for the secret to coping with her anxiety and panic attacks? Jenner revealed to the magazine that she seeks solace by way of an 'old-fashioned diary'.

'It has a lock on it and I hide it, I lock it away: mine is so, so secretive. I'm like, "No one can ever get this,"' she said of the journal that she writes in once or twice a week.

The reality TV star, who once referred to having 'a little bit of depression', went on to say: 'It's important to have a space that's just for you where you can let out your happiness, your anger, frustrations, and stress, the things that are freaking you out, the things that are making you happy and even just ideas.'

After also mentioning that she reads Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover as a 'great form of therapy' and 'distraction', she added: 'I just love having things that are for me and no one else, you know? I feel like reading is one of those things.'

This makes sense, considering she's had to grapple with a lifetime in the public eye, along with fellow famous sisters Kim, Kourtney, Khloé and Kylie.

Jenner went on to admit to loosing herself somewhat in all the chaos that came with fame, which she described as 'scary.'

'It's a sad thing to say, but sometimes you almost have to remind yourself who you are,' she said, adding: 'I think doing your own personal work is a really great way of reminding yourself, "Oh, no, no, no, no. This is who I am."'

'At a young age, I had to give up control and let someone else portray me in the way that they wanted... That was my job. Now, being on the other side is taking that control back.'

Speaking of her daughter's decision to scale back on runway modelling for the sake of her mental health and wellbeing, 'momager' Kris Jenner said during a 2018 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians: 'Kendall has anxiety, and I think she has so much going on that she gets herself really worked up.

'Kendall gets the most anxious during Fashion Week, so when she's traveling a lot and Milan's coming up and trying to juggle it all, [it's] overwhelming.'

All things considered, Jenner has acknowledged her 'very, very blessed' and extraordinary life', per Love Magazine.
