Low Cost Early Heart Screenings

HOUSTON The screening is for:

Children and adolescents ages 8 and up

The Roger Clemens Institute at Memorial Hermann and the Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute-Texas Medical Center are offering low cost early heart screenings for children and adolescents ages 8 and up. Heart screening includes an electrocardiogram (EKG) and echocardiogram. An EKG tests the electrical activity of the heartbeat and echocardiogram is an ultrasound test that shows the structure and function of various parts of the heart.

Test results will be reviewed and discussed with you on-site by a board certified adult, adolescent, or pediatric cardiologist with advanced training in echocardiography. No physician referral is required to schedule this screening.

Price: $150. An approximate saving of $700

The service is bieng offered the following dates and times:

Saturday: February 9, March 1 and March 22Time: 8 a.M. -- 12 p.M.

Wednesday: February 20, 27 and March 206 p.M. -- 8 p.M.
